Director: Prof. (Dr.) Niraj Singhal
The Institute of Business Studies was established in the year of 1995 on the University Campus with the aim of developing and augmenting managerial and leadership qualities through educational training and research activities.Earlier, the institute was running in the name of "MODI INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE"; later as "SCHOOL OF BUSINESS STUDIES" and now as "INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS STUDIES", which offers two years and three years full-time programmes of study (MBA and BBA). The programmes offered by the institute are addressed to dissemination of management education and training for achieving professional excellence through development of analytical, communicative and decision-making skills required for the successful manager in the modern world of business and industry by developing a value system to support the work culture and promoting efficiency.
The major thrust is towards providing opportunities to exercise the capabilities in organizing symposium and workshops for imbibing practical aspects of management.Opportunities are also provided to students to interact independently with business and industry, technocrats and experts and to develop entrepreneurial aptitude.

Department of Hospital Adminstration
Hospital Administration course was started in the year 2017 in Institute of Business Studies as a specialization in MBA. Later, The Department of Hospital Administration was constituted as a separate department under Institute of Business Studies in October, 2018. The purpose of this was to run innovative courses like MBA-HA, MBA (DM) etc. under self finance scheme efficiently and effectively. These courses have inherently different nature and characteristics. Main aim of the department is to develop and augment the managerial leadership qualities among students through educational training and research to lead new industrial fronts in the nation.

Library
Students have access to the Library which is equipped with a rich collection of Management literature, Journals and Research Periodicals. The University Library is also available to the students in addition to the Institute Library.

Computer Centre is fully equipped with a state of the art computer lab with latest available software to match the growing needs of computer education in management.
Audio-Visual Aids
In order to give the students more than just classroom education, the Institute has endeavored to keep itself abreast of the latest educational trends. It has audio-visual aids like over-head projectors, excellent sound systems and possesses rich collection of transparencies on management & other related topics. Well equipped Lecture Theatres, Seminar and Conference rooms are the basic infrastructural facilities of the Institute.

The main thrust of the curriculum is on imparting quality education in management to the students, in order that they become adept at facing the challenges of the modern business world. However, the institute realises the importance of the insight; students can gain by the practical exercise of independently organising and managing co-curricular activities. The teams of the MBA and BBA students are regularly sent to cultural festivals, organised all over the country, giving them chance to hone their skills at their chosen events. More often than not, these skills stand the students in good stead in their lives.
Management Seminar & Presentation
The Seminars and Presentations are organised in each semester and this offers the students a more comprehensive format for multifaceted and broad based discussions with a panel of distinguished members from business and academics. This also provides a forum for the two way exchange of ideas, leading to a deeper understanding of relevant issues in a wider perspective.

The MBA and BBA provide a balanced and comprehensive programme of study for the corporate world and professional excellence. It is also an excellent preparation for doctoral studies in Business Management, teaching in Business Institutes or university or other careers requiring a high degree of literacy.The Syllabus offers a balanced coverage of major approaches to development of analytical, communicativeanddecision making abilities and cultivation of strategic vision. The focus of study is such that will provide you with skills for a variety of positions in business, Government, research as well as in cultural entertainment, tourism, travel and Industries. MBA and BBA will, therefore, help you develop skills useful for many careers.
Summer Training
The Institute assists students for Summer Training after Semester II in various organisations. Summer training forms an integral part of the M.B.A. and BBA curriculum. Every student is required to undergo job training in a business enterprise for a duration of six to eight weeks after the completion of the second semester. The students are required to submit a report on the assigned project to the concerned organisation and a copy of the same to the institute for evaluation. This opportunity helps the students to relate class room teaching to real business world situations which in turn inculcates professionalism and an integrated approach towards management.
Placements Cell
The Placement Cell, comprising of faculty members and the student representatives assists in arranging Summer Training and Final Placement of students of the Institute. The Cell aims to provide the best match of interests, abilities and job requirements for the students as well as the employers. To achieve this objective, the Placement Cell publishes the annual 'Placement Bulletin', establishes initial contact with prospective employers, and coordinates the visits of their recruitment teams to the Campus. A constantly updated data-bank is maintained by the Cell which provides information regarding the present address and the employment status of the Alumni.
