Ch. Charan Singh University (C.C.S.U.) was founded, as Meerut University to fulfil the academic and professional needs in the fields of fundamental and applied sciences, arts, commerce, medicine, surgery and management. The University comprises of seven faculties. The campus has adequate hostel facilities besides a four storeyed library having a collection of over 1 lakh 34 thousand books and is subscribing to about 600 Research Journals and Periodicals. The University has a well maintained vast campus area sprawling over 219 acres comprising of Gym. a Post Office, Bank, Medical Health Centre, Computer Centre and Residential accommodation for academic and support staff.
Insitute :

The Institute of Business Studies has been established under the auspices of Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut (India), with the aim of augmenting management resource through its educational, training and research activities. It seeks to develop business leadership and corporate excellence through Management Education Programme to amply respond the growing needs and challenges of business. The Institute of Business Studies offers TWO YEAR FULL TIME PROGRAMME Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), and Master of International Business (M.I.B.) which are concomitant with the present and perceived requirements of business and industry, domestically and globally, especially in the wake of the changing economic regime.

Objective :
The programme offered by the Institute is addressed to dissemination of Management Education and Training for achieving professional excellence.
1. Through development of analytical, communicative and decision-making skills, required for the successful manager in the modern world of business and industry.
2. By developing a value system to support the work culture
and promoting efficiency.
 
Programme Offered :
The Programmes have a thrust towards providing opportunities to exercise the capabilities in organising symposia and workshops for imbibing practical aspects of Management. Opportunities are also provided to students to interact independently with Business and Industry, technocrats and experts and to develop entrepreneurial aptitude. The academic programme is reinforced by on-the-job training/summer training and Projects under the guidance of a Faculty Member.
The Placement Cell :
The Placement Cell, comprising of faculty member & the student representatives assists in arranging Summer Training and Final Placement of students of the Institute. The Cell aims to provide the best match of interests, abilities and job requirements for the students as well as the employers. To achieve this objective, the Placement Cell publishes the annual 'Placement Bulletin', establishes initial contact with prospective employers, and coordinates the visits of their recruitment teams to the Campus. A constantly updated data-bank is maintained by the Cell which provides information regarding the present address and the employment status of the Alumni.
Libary:
Students have access to Library equipped with rich collection of Management literature, Journals and Research Periodicals. The University Library is also available to the Students in addition to the Institute Library.
Computer Centre:
Computer Centre is fully equipped with a state of the art computer lab with latest available software to match the growing needs of computer education in management.
Audio-Visual Aids:
In order to give the students more than just classroom education, the Institute has endeavoured to keep itself abreast of the latest educational trends. It has audio-visual aids like over-head projectors, excellent sound systems and possesses rich collection of transparencies on management & other related topics. Well equipped Lecture Theatres, Seminar, Conference Room are the basic infrastructural facilities of the Institute.
Co-Curricular Activities:

The main thrust of the curriculum is on imparting quality education in management to the students, in order that they become adapt at facing the challenges of the modern business world. However, the institute realises the importance of the insight, students can gain by the practical exercise of independently organising and managing co-curricular activities. It has thus endeavoured to galvanise and co-operate such activities as :

Cultural Activities:

Team of the students are regularly sent to cultural festivals, organised all over the country, giving them chance to hone their skills at their chosen events. More often than not, these skills stand the students in good stead in their lives.

Management Seminar & Presentation:
The Seminars & Presentations are organised in each semester which offer the students a more comprehensive format for multifaceted and broad based discussions with a panel of distinguished members from business and academics. The Seminars & Presentations thus provide a forum for the two way exchange of ideas, leading to a deeper understanding of relevant issues in wider perspectives.
Summer Training:

Summer training forms an integral part of the M.B.A. curriculum. Every student is required to undergo job training in a business enterprise for duration of six to eight weeks after the completion of the second semester. The students are required to submit a report on the assigned project to the concerned organisation and copy of the same to the institute for evaluation. The opportunity thus is, made available to the students, to relate class room teaching to real business world situations that inturn help in inculcating professionalism and an integrated approach towards management.
